simple woman's daybook
FOR TODAY December 3, 2013
Outside my window...powdered sugar dusting of snow on the ground with gray skies and a mix of snow and rain still falling.
I am thinking... of the weather outside, decorating for Christmas and of my busy Friday.
I am thankful... for those who challenge my beliefs.
In the kitchen... chicken thawing for chili, frozen pizza for dinner tonight and no leftover turkey.
I am wearing... blue yoga pants with a black top. Guess you could say I'm black and blue from head to toe.
I am creating... a wish list of books for my library, a list of potential projects to make for Christmas presents and a list of things to bring to our first Christmas celebration of 2013.
I am going... to put up the Christmas tree today. Hopefully I'll get the lights on so we can decorate it as a family tonight.
I am wondering... what to do for a Christmas card this year. I am way behind in this and feeling a bit of pressure to get it done so I can send them out on time.
I am reading... about Henry VIII. He had a fascinating childhood. So much responsibility before he was ten.
I am hoping... we won't freeze while nature journaling on Friday. The high for the day is forecast to be 10 degrees Fahrenheit. Brrrr!
I am looking forward to... having the house decorated, getting my work done and sitting next to the fire relaxing with my honey.
I am learning... how to use my new photo editing software. Now if I can just find time to play with a few photos, the knowledge might actually stick.
Around the house... the dog is napping, the birds are chirping and the kids are playing well together.
I am pondering... the difficult task of parenting.
A favorite quote for today... "Faith is the strength by which a shattered world shall emerge into the light." ~ Helen Keller
One of my favorite things... dangling earrings.
A few plans for the rest of the week: Awana, salon appointment, Royal Rangers, swimming, nature journaling class, co-op, nature journaling adventure, a hayride and a friends birthday celebration.
A peek into my day...
My newest niece. What a cutie.

Stay warm, friend. We've got 7 degrees here in Colorado at 2pm. Brrr!
