Simple Woman's Daybook

For today March 16, 2010

Outside my window.... a beautiful sunrise and a forecast of sunshine all day!  Hello spring!

I am thinking..... about a difficult phone call I will be making later on this morning.

I am thankful for..... the freedom to school my children at home.

I am wearing..... cozy pants with a pink long sleeve shirt, soon to be replaced by a t-shirt this warm day.

I am hearing..... the sound of saws and hammers as some work gets underway at the neighbors house.

I am going..... to adjust my morning schedule so that I can once again fit a walk in before my husband leaves for work in the morning.

I am reading..... Growing Grateful Kids by Susie Larson. On the nightstand, Same Kind of Different as Me by Ron Hall and Denver Moore.

I am hoping..... to increasingly parent my children proactively instead of reactively.

I am creating..... a few little Easter surprises.

On my mind...... my kids, my husband, my friends and how I can encourage and uplift each and every one of them.

From the learning rooms..... we are coming to the end of some of our subjects, which is allowing more free time for exploring nature and enjoying the spring weather.

Noticing that..... I am in the mood to clean out the house and get rid of a lot of unwanted items.  Neighborhood rummage sale is a great motivator too!

From the kitchen..... country style ribs for dinner and mixing together some muddy buddies for a treat.

Around the house..... bits and pieces of dry leaves and grass that are tracked in every time the kids go in or out.  Now I know why the term "spring cleaning" came to be.

One of my favorite things.... sitting outside on the patio reading a book and watching the children play.

A few plans for the rest of the week..... AWANA, library (we seem to live there these days), small group and maybe a date with the hubby.
