100 Tid Bits
1. My journal word for the year is Peace.
2. I don't make New Year's Resolutions.
3. Other names I'm called include Kimbe, Mom, Kimmer and honey.
4. I have had my hair cut by the same person my entire life.
5. I LOVE quiet mornings.
6. My first car was a 1986 Ford Escort Wagon nicknamed the "Turbo Grocery Getter".
7. Sadly, I have very few memories of my high school years.
8. My christmas cactus bloomed in March!
9. I LOVE crunchy steamed vegetables.
10. I enjoy hidden treasures. Such as money forgotten in a pocket or little items in my children's pockets, left for me to find on laundry day.
11. I think my husband looks extra good in a baseball cap.
12. I LOVE to read a book in the warm spring air with the sounds of nature all around me.
13. My favorite color is Turquoise. (although I can't spell it half the time)
14. Being random and thinking of random things is very difficult for me.
15. I reduce, reuse and recycle and get slightly irritated by those who randomly throw their garbage anywhere. (alongside the highway, in parking lots....)
16. I do not like taking tests! Of any kind!
17. On my nightstand are "James and the Giant Peach" by Roald Dahl, "The Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald and "If You Want to Walk on Water, You've Got to Get Out of the Boat" by John Ortberg.
18. I am an avid reader, with very little time to read.
19. I talk to God more than anyone else.
20. I still remember what it felt like to swim in a lake for the first time, eew!
21. I enjoy trivia.
22. I like to eat oysters and stuffed artichokes. (not together!)
23. I hope to be baptized in the Jordan river or Sea of Galilee someday.
24. The thing I lack most is sleep.
25. My husband came with a great family :D, and I am blessed to have them in my life.
26. I love the warm sun on my face.
27. I am a quiet person who doesn't have a gift of gab.
28. I'm a great listener.
29. I don't mind speaking in front of people, although I get really nervous beforehand.
30. I have three children, 2 boys and 1 girl.
31. I never thought I'd be blogging and enjoying it so much.
32. My favorite candy are Jolly Rancher's.
33. I have one dog, a chocolate lab named Zeke.
34. I used to have a frog too, but she is no longer alive.
35. I am the oldest of three.
36. I would love to adopt, but haven't figured out how to convince my husband it's a good idea.
37. My husband and I met in High School and started dating after graduation.
38. I've been married for 13 years! I can't imagine living without my honey.
39. Cleaning makes me feel good, especially when it's done.
40. I am a procrastinator.
41. I love to swim, I love water.
42. My favorite TV show is Amazing Race, I'd love to be a contestant someday.
43. President Obama just celebrated his 100 days in office, I thought this would coincide nicely.
44. I just finished reading Captivating, by John & Stasi Eldredge.
45. Now I look for God to romance me through nature.
46. The recurring theme in this season of my life has been to let go and let God handle the details.
47. I love to watch people.
48. One of my favorite places to people watch is the airport.
49. I taught one of my dearest friends how to drive.
50. I love my mom.
51. In my teen years I told my mom that I hated her, numerous times.
52. I have since apologized for that, numerous times.
53. I am thankful for God's forgiveness.
54. I am thankful for God's grace and am learning all about it.
55. I have a hunger to read God's word.
56. I desire to be full of grace, insipiring and inviting.
57. My youngest son recently said, "Girls are always happy, unless they get hit or punched."
58. I wonder how he came to that conclusion? :O
59. I am going to play kickball for the first time since elementary school.
60. I got hit square in the face with the kickball while in elementary school. ouch.
61. I really enjoy birding. Watching, feeding and photographing.
62. I was traumatized by a bully with a snake while walking home from school when I was approximately 8 years old.
63. I still DO NOT like snakes.
64. I did "pet" a snake during a field trip with the boys. I DID NOT enjoy it.
65. I still have the Barbies I played with as a young girl.
66. I want to bless those in my life with thoughtfulness.
67. My sister is buying her first home.
68. I'm very excited for her and her family.
69. I admire my sister and brother.
70. I want to have confident humility.
71. My brother is a talented artist and works with stained glass.
72. I would like to host a foreign exchange student some day.
73. My daughter told me at the young age of 21 months that she wanted to sing and dance when she grew up.
74. She loves to sing and dance. She is joy wrapped inside a cute little girl body.
75. I took a photography class in college and didn't pay attention, didn't even finish it.
76. Now I wish I had. I love taking photographs and wish I had more technical knowledge.
77. I want to travel more.
78. Italy is my number one international travel destination. Oh to dream.
79. I almost rear-ended another vehicle while spying on my husband while we were dating.
80. He knows this and loves me all the more. :D
81. I can do everything through him who gives me strength. (Phil 4:13)
82. That is my motto for everyday living.
83. I enjoy anything local & organic.
84. I really enjoy decorating my home and my friends homes and entertain thoughts of going back to school to get a degree.
85. I am intrigued by different cultures.
86. I would like to be fluent in French, German and Spanish.
87. I am only fluent in English. :D
88. I have 7 nieces and only 2 nephews, so far.
89. Spring is my favorite season, namely because of all the little surprises and new growth.
90. I would love to win the lottery some day so I could give 90% to charitable organizations.
91. I would spoil my entire family with the other 10%.
92. I have a horrible memory for details.
93. Being a mother is the greatest challenge I have ever faced. And the most rewarding.
94. I am thankful to God for entrusting me to raise these three wonderful children. And to be able to stay at home to do it.
95. I want to treasure every moment of life and have to remind myself daily to do just that.
96. My daughter loves to play dress up, not sure where she got that. I'm not a "dress-up" girl.
97. My favorite ice cream treat is a turtle sundae.
98. I adore my friends and feel refreshed after being with them.
99. My perfect day on earth would include coffee, a good book, the beach and a warm summer evening grilling with family and friends.
