simple woman's daybook
FOR TODAY November 10, 2014
Outside my window... Snow! The first-ish snow of the season. Forecast says it may accumulate.
I am thinking... of the many families living and serving overseas.
I am thankful... for military veterans!
In the kitchen... chicken chili.
I am wearing... jeans, tank top and sweater.
I am creating... a master copy of the kids Christmas wish lists. Time to start shopping.
I am going... to type out a chore chart today. The kids are stuck in a chore rut.
I am wondering... how to have a heart to heart with someone I dearly love.
I am reading... nothing right now! That will have to change, quickly.
I am hoping... to continue going through the house and setting aside gently used items for donations.
I am looking forward to... my social calendar this week. I have time with friends scheduled on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday! Lucky me.
I am learning... that I like to fly by the seat of my pants most days and that just doesn't work to keep routine and order of the chaos. (Duh?) I need a happy medium.
Around the house... all is quiet. The kids are either sleeping or having quiet time, the dog is laying quietly at my feet and the snow is quietly falling outside.
I am pondering... parenting. Being a parent is tough stuff. Just when you think you've got it figured out, a curve ball comes flying in.
A favorite quote for today... "You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream." ~ C.S. Lewis
One of my favorite things... Haribo Gummy Bears.
A few plans for the rest of the week: type out chores, sort photos, lesson plans, Awana, Royal Rangers and dates with friends.
A peek into my
Remembering a day not too long ago that we wore shorts at the beach.
