simple woman's daybook

FOR TODAY November 5, 2012

Outside my window... blackbirds and a gray sky.

I am thinking... that Thanksgiving is right around the corner.

I am thankful... for technology.  I wouldn't want to homeschool without it!

In the kitchen... food from India as we are studying the Indus valley this week.

I am wearing... a red Coca~Cola t-shirt and gray pants and my feet are bare.

I am creating... lesson plans and needed a break so I'm now blogging!  :)

I am going... to make a sweet treat for our new neighbors.

I am wondering... if it's too early to start decorating for Christmas?

I am reading... Cold Tangerines by Shauna Niequist.

I am hoping... to have a super productive day in school and household chores (dreamer!).

I am looking forward to... a hayride with friends.

I am learning... that organization helps stop procrastination.

Around the house... Lego® creations of all shapes and sizes.

I am pondering... how to creatively focus on being thankful with the kids this month.

A favorite quote for today... "The big moments are the daily, tiny moments of courage and forgiveness and hope that we grab on to and extend to one another." ~ Shauna Niequist

One of my favorite things... the sound of children playing together peacefully.

A few plans for the rest of the week: a library stop, make an Indian dish, stay on top of the laundry, stick to a menu plan, be proactive-not reactive and rejoice in each day.

A peek into my day...
