Simple Woman's Daybook

For today September 14, 2010

Outside my window... ~is a day filled with God's creativity!  From the greenest of grasses to the brown fields, the blue, gray, white and silver edged clouds, to the streams of golden sun kissing the earth as it rises.  Just magificent.

I am thinking... ~of all the last minute details that seem to go into getting ready for baby number four.

I am thankful for... ~the way my oldest son will pick up a book on his own and read.  After all the struggles we had while he was learning to read, this is a wonderful thing.

I am wearing... ~my pajamas, which I might add, are hardly fitting over my tummy anymore. :sigh:

In the learning rooms... ~First year of Tapestry of Grace.

I am remembering... ~how much noise our labrador retriever could make in the morning. (And not really missing it much)

I am going... ~ to exercise my right to vote today.

I am currently reading... ~ "A Tale of Two Cities" by Charles Dickens (just one of those classics that I never read)

I am hoping... ~to enjoy the gorgeous day today after running errands.  (wow, I just looked out the window and there are gray clouds moving in now.  I might be singing in the rain today.)

On my mind... ~the big day for my children.  It is their first night of AWANA this year and my three year old daughters first night as a Cubbie!

Noticing that... ~all preparations for baby are slowly but surely coming together, thankfully.

From the kitchen... ~a menu plan for the rest of the month.  Now to shop for it on double coupon day tomorrow.

Around the house... ~little odds and ends that need to find their homes.  By the way, has anyone seen the cellphone charger?  It seems to have been misplaced after our last weekend away and still has not been found.

One of my favorite things ~ the honking of the geese as they fly overhead.

From my camera...
L and another of his Lego creations.

  1. I haven't visited your blog for a while ~ How soon are you due??
Such a thrill when a child becomes a reader and a lover of books ♥ (and the first one seems to be the most difficult ~ why is that?!)

    Have a great week!
