Simple Woman's Daybook

For today June 29, 2011

Outside my window... the sky is blue and it's going to be a beautiful summer day!

I am thinking... that I'll fill the kiddie pool and let Mister M play and explore the water today.

I am thankful for... the bees that make such wonderful honey.  We are hopefully going to visit a beekeeper in the next week and he is going to tell us all about his bees.  Can't wait!

I am wearing... tank top, shorts and my grandmother's earrings.

In the learning rooms... this mama teacher is planning a few fun summer activities for the kids.

I am remembering... our chocolate lab.  It's been almost a year since he's been gone and some days I still miss the pitter patter of paws and toenails on the floor.

I am going... to enjoy our summer vacation.  We celebrated a wedding this past weekend and the kids and I stayed behind while Patrick went out of town for work.  We certainly enjoy being in the woods at Grandma and Grandpa's.

I am reading... through all my mom's magazines and looking for a good book to enjoy.

I am hoping... that my drawing skills improve soon.  Some of the pictures I drew with chalk on the driveway yesterday are looking rather confused.  On the positive side, art may be interpreted in many different ways.

I am hearing... the birds singing and enjoying the cool morning.

On my mind... turning over different ideas for an essay contest I might enter.

Noticing that... the boys are getting more and more daring in their advanced years!

From the kitchen... chicken on the grill and side dishes yet to be determined.

Around the house... beach towels, toys, books, sunglasses, bug spray and sunscreen.

One of my favorite things... taking pictures of the kids.

From my camera... lots of pictures, but they are still on the camera.  I will upload and edit a few when we get home next week.
