Simple Woman's Daybook

For today May 4, 2010

Outside my window.... a beautiful day with blue skies, apple blosssoms and dandelions.

I am thinking..... of how modern technology allows us to see an unborn child.

I am thankful for..... my husband's steadfast support.  I have been having a tough time with friendships or lack thereof lately and he is always willing to listen to my frustrations and offer logical advice.  He also reminds me that he's my best friend and innocently asks, "What more do you need?"  :)

I am wearing..... purple plaid pj pants with a purple tank top.

I am hearing..... my oldest reprimand my youngest for getting out of her chair while eating.

I am going..... to visit my neighbors new little girl today.

I am reading..... The Bronze Bow by Elizabeth George Speare.

I am hoping..... to edit my list of volunteer opportunities and pick a place to serve this summer.

I am creating..... a mess.  Getting ready for the neighborhood rummage sale this month is making the house look worse instead of better.

On my mind...... oh boy that is quite the question this morning.  I have so many thoughts swirling through my head it's making me dizzy.

From the learning rooms..... reading, writing, arithmetic and life cycles.

Noticing that..... the price of gasoline is outrageous.  I remember when it was $1.99/gallon.  Will I ever see that again?  Or better yet, $.99/gallon.

Praying for..... perseverance and increased patience as well as the continued good health of our unborn child.

From the kitchen..... lasagne, french bread and green beans.

Around the house..... three kids, one dog, and one woman who is currently barefoot and pregnant at the computer in the kitchen.  :)

One of my favorite things.... teaching my children and learning new things.  Did you know that the White Tern does not build a nest?  It lays it's egg on a tree branch.

A few plans for the rest of the week..... run a few errands, purchase flowers and celebrate spring by spending lots of time outdoors.

A picture thought I'm sharing.....
My daughters princess birthday cake.

This is the look that M had on her face for every birthday card and present she opened.  She had a fabulous time celebrating her third birthday!
