Simple Woman's Daybook

For today November 2, 2009

Outside my window.... Sun, slowly giving way to clouds.

I am thinking..... that a four day work week might be a good idea.

I am thankful for..... my children's generous hugs.

I am wearing..... a gray hooded sweatshirt and black athletic pants.

I am hearing..... the quiet of a tired house and geese flying overhead.

I am going..... to treat myself to a nice hot bubble bath and a manicure this week.

I am reading..... The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel.

I am hoping..... to be a more positive woman.

I am creating..... a list of personal goals for 2010.

On my mind..... the fact that I just typed the word November at the top of this entry.  Where has the year gone?

From the learning rooms..... Russia: The Land of Endurance, spelling, and the basics of reading, writing and arithmetic.

Noticing that..... my children seem at least 2 inches taller than they were yesterday. ;D

Pondering these words.... Joy is the serious business of heaven. ~C.S. Lewis

From the kitchen..... maple roasted chicken with potatoes and cauliflower for dinner tonight, pizza on Tuesday and then we'll see.

Around the house..... all the clocks are turned back, toys are picked up and there is a fire in the fireplace.

One of my favorite things.... personal handwritten notes.

A few plans for the rest of the week..... AWANA Tuesday, Flag Football Wednesday, Bible study Thursday, a possible visit to my aunt on the weekend or grandma and grandpa, depending upon the weather.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you..... the theme for this halloween was Star Wars.  From left you have Jango Fett, Wicket the Ewok and Boba Fett.
