Aloha Friday

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. Kailani at An Island Life is embracing this custom with her weekly Aloha Friday posts, so I thought that today I would take it easy on posting, too.
I am an avid reader and want a few more books to add to my must read list. I want to know: What is your favorite book?
To participate, go to An Island Life and ask your question. Aloha!

  1. Great joke you wrote in my comments. I laughed out loud. Thanks, I needed it. I am not an avid reader, but I did enjoy Tori Spelling's books and Plum Sykes's books. Everyone keeps trying to get me to read the Twilight series, but not sure I want to become a crazed Edward fanatic like other women and teens I know. Aloha and take care.

  4. I love anything by Nicolas Sparks, JD Robb/Nora Roberts, Faye Kellerman, Jeffrey Archer and Danielle Stelle. Head over to the used book store and pick out the genre you like and then grab a few books.

  5. Just read an answer you posted elsewhere...I wonder if you've ever tried to contact that old college roommate and say "I'm sorry" and see what happens. She might be willing to talk or she might not. You just never know.

  6. Oh:) I saw your quotes! I adore CS Lewis. Always will think of him first when asked about literature. Especially Screwtape Letters, the Four Loves, Perelandra, The Problem of Pain...the only one I didn't "get" and want to read again soon is Til we have faces. I remember that as being hard for me to follow when I was younger. Need to check back:)

  7. I am a horrible person to ask this because I don't really have a favorite author and most the books I read are for my profession. I did read Digital Fortress by Dan Brown recently and enjoyed it.

  9. The book I'm reading now is really good. It is called "The Tea Rose," by Jennifer Donnelly. With a sequel I'm going to read next called "The Winter Rose."
