Aloha Friday

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. Kailani at An Island Life is embracing this custom with her weekly Aloha Friday posts, so I thought that today I would take it easy on posting, too.

If you have unexpected guests arriving in about 15 minutes and only have time to do one thing before they arrive, what would you do?

To participate, go to An Island Life and ask your question. Aloha!

  1. Grab everything that is out and shove into my computer room...then shut the door! LOL

  2. Swift the floors. We have a cat and it seems there is always cat hair on the floor. If I do this, my house usually looks better.

  3. Try to "hide" all the things that are lying around, and shouldn't be.

  4. I would pick up as best as I could...probably shove everything in a bedroom.

  5. pick up all the random garbage that was laying around.

  6. I would vacuum, and if I had a chance load/unload the dishwasher.

  7. frantically pickup as many "trip-over" items as possible. That's a great question!

  8. Clean all the clutter off the kitchen counters.

  9. Put the kettle on...all the mess I make would take much longer than 15 minutes to clear!!

  10. Quickly declutter the kitchen as that is the entry point into our home and it's also the busiest room of our home.

Actually, my kids already know the routine as people do unexpectedly stop by for this or that or my husband's business...and that routine is a quick kitchen check. It's nice to have a lot of hands to help with that task!
